Who is Didactica Publishing House?
It should come as no surprise: in this field of work if you don’t read (particularly if you’re a copywriter), it’s like you’re going up a creek without a paddle.
DPH (for friends and fans) is a publishing house founded in 2004. Their catalogue is very varied and comprises of both support for teachers, adult fiction, personal development books, YA literature, as well as (in our humble opinion the crown jewel) a long list of books, games, and activities for children.
They are the ones bringing international awarded bestsellers, carefully illustrated with love and empathy – stories that teach children important life lessons in a intuitive, cute, funny and friendly way, without being preachy.
Honestly, just check out their site and if you don’t get even a teensy bit excited for at least one cover, we owe you a book order.
Why is DPH awesome?
Because they get two very important things:
- learning starts and continues at home. Sure, kids can go to school every day but involved parents know that, in order to support their kids’ passions and interests, they need constant sources of information.
- a love for reading starts when kids are small (talk to our copywriter). Kids need to see reading as enjoyable, fun, and relevant (not as schoolwork that they need to do in order to pass an exam). There is no age limit to start reading to your child: that is why at DPH you will find books and activities for both super-tiny children and for older kids.
Connect Media and DPH
For this blog’s author, a love for reading started to blossom when she was read to by her mum and grandma. This love affair carried on into adulthood after our copywriter starting reading all by herself, and carries on to this day with no signs of slowing down.
What we mean to point out is that reading can start in the early stages of childhood and can help kids maybe even choose their career.
That is why the Didactica Publishing House project was a match made in heaven. We are super proud of what we are doing for them and since tooting our own horn is always a good idea…
With a incredibly varied and attractive catalogue (even a 32-year-old giggled at a small squirrel’s adventures), DPH needed a common thread to bring together all their marketing activities: both concept and visual.
The Connect Media team had just the thing.
Following a complex research and analysis process, we presented the DPH team with their new creative concept, their own hashtag and the visual that was going to be used in every brand instance.
Creative concept DPH: the publishing house for moving minds
We could tell you all about it but since the basic principle in marketing is ”SHOW ME – DON’T TELL ME” how about we do just that.
Do you want to know why it was approved? Follow the presentation and find out how a simple idea (that resonates with the brand) backs up a concept that perfectly represents the brand and the unique benefit it provides its clients with.
Why “back to school” is great for kids
But is “back to school” enough?
Why? Well it’s actually quite simple…
Learning doesn’t work on a fixed schedule
That’s why DPH speaks to involved parents

Why the concept works: relevant and different from the competition
Key visual: the publishing house for moving minds
It’s all fine and dandy but a concept needs some visual backing – otherwise the idea will not take flight.
This is where our designer comes in. Imagine our excitement when she presented us with over 20 ideas and about 10 hand-drawn illustrations…
